Universal Measure is more dedicated to music than your personal stalker is to you. Driven by their passion to make music that matters, Universal Measure has been delivering powerful hard rock performances in and around Seattle for the past three years. They are currently being played on local radio stations such as KISW. They've opened for national acts such as Kittie, Veruca Salt and Scum Of The Earth. Universal Measure have taken first place in three battle of the bands, including one to claim the title of the "Queen of Rock" in Seattle. Three of the four members hold degrees in Digital Audio Engineering, adding a whole new dimension to their creativity, which shows on their EP titled "Now With Marshmellows." Universal Measure is made up of four very dedicated members. Each member holds their own and still melds styles together to create sweet hard rock ecstasy. They hold one of the most unique and diverse female vocalists (Windy) in Seattle, pushing growls and screams as well as sweet soothing melody. They also encompass a guitarist (Frank) who builds sweet riffs from chunky to bluesy, from soothing to heart wrenching. This guitarist holds a unique tone that is candy to the ears from the stage! The Bass (Brandon) is solid and ventures off into his own melody while interweaving the rhythm in places that require a packed punch. He will accent any to all of the other instruments (including vocals!) in any one song! Definitely a treat for musicians in the crowd! And last, but certainly not least, the drummer (Jake) brings the beats in exceptional fills and rolls. Keeping the time, odd or even, to weld this progressive band's sound together. Universal Measure is not going to give up. This melodic hard rock will intrigue and possibly haunt you. They're not afraid to be different and help lead the way into a new musical era. Listening to Universal Measure is refreshing and will grow on you quickly because of the way they pull from several genres, progressively mixing and matching. They are on the rise! So watch for them!
